We will have a discussion forum with 6 experts on the panel to provide enlightening information about the current status of the Real Estate Sector from 6 distinct perspectives. The panel will discuss several key questions about what is going on in real estate, and strategies we can use to survive and succeed. Real estate is at the core of the U.S. economic engine, as evidenced by the effect it had on the economic downturn, so this discussion is an important one. Don't miss it!

March 12th, 2010 Our speaker will be Michael J. Adams. The topic will be Finding Your Purpose . . . Again! Mike will discuss in business how your life purpose changes as you grow. He will present how to discern what healthy and unhealthy transition points look like and how to make more intentional movements toward God’s greater calling on your life. Psalms 139:13-16, Eph 2:10, Acts 13:36. Mike is most passionate about using his strengths to help Entrepreneurs develop and grow their businesses to fit their vision. He has founded 10 companies over the last 30 years including retail, distribution, business systems, services and e-commerce. Since 1989, Mike has been researching the dynamics of applied leadership and business strategy relative to its effects on the nature of business for his book “Leadership Bias Constraints.” Mike has an MBA in Organizational Development.

• November 2009 - SPECIAL EVENT - Ken Blanchard - Leading at the Next Level and Leading Like Jesus. Ken shared poignant and humorous vignettes about his experiences in business and leadership. He shared 3 key points about the next level of leadership and leading like Jesus, providing us with key nuts and bolts practices we can put into action immediately. Ken is a prominent and sought after speaker, author, and business consultant who has written over 40 books. Ken is cofounder and Chief Spiritual Officer of The Ken Blanchard Companies - an international management training and consulting firm. Ken's recent book "Lead Like Jesus" has been a source of recent study and discussion at our CEO meetings. See his Bio.

• October 2009 - Chris McFarland - A Unified Partnership Between Churches, Business and Government. The presentation focused on how businesses can come together with government and the Church to make an impact in the city/region that they are a part of. A key piece of this presentation was about the sustained results of this model in Portland, Oregon between an evangelical organization and the first openly gay mayor of a top 50 US city and the business community. The upcoming San Diego Season of Service in 2010 by the Luis Palau Ministry organization will be discussed. Since 2004, Chris has been a director for Luis Palau Ministry in Orlando FL, Nashville TN, Portland OR and is now assigned to San Diego. God has drawn more than 350,000 people to the Luis Palau Festivals that Chris has directed. Through that work thousands have been led to a relationship with Jesus Christ by the preaching of Luis Palau and partner evangelists. This work has also led to strategic partnerships whereby businesses find an outlet to build strategic partnerships with civic leaders, Christian organizations and others, which allows the business leader to directly live out, in their professional life, who they are in Jesus Christ.

• September 2009 - Nathan and Mindy Fletcher - Love, War and Politics--Literally. Annual joint event with CEO and PWF (Professional Women's Fellowship). They discussed the current state of affairs that gave us an up-close and personal insight into the direction politics is taking California and the United States, as they relate first-hand accounts of the battles that are taking place to determine the course of America’s values. Nathan is currently the California State Assemblyman for the 75th District. Mindy has worked in many political circles including the Bush / Cheney election effort and Bush Presidential administration in various key roles - she also was Former Deputy Chief of Staff and Deputy Campaign Manager for California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

• August 2009 - 3 financial experts - Jim McEliece, Jerry Troyer, Anthony Saffer. Victory in the midst of economic crisis. Our experts joined us a again for an enlightening encore, after their visit 6 months ago. They discussed the current status of the Financial Sector from 3 distinct perspectives - business finance, personal finance, and overall economic factors. The panel discussed several key questions about what is going on in the economy, and strategies we can use to survive and succeed. They provided some sobering news and hope inducing information about this and the next few years.

• July 2009 - Ruben Garcia - "The Status of the U.S. Economic Stimulus Package and opportunities it offers." Ruben discussed several government stimulus programs and SBA services and how they affect small businesses and faith based / community groups. He also talked about what it is like to be a Christian in past and current U.S. goverment administrations. Ruben is the District Director of the U. S. Small Business Administration's San Diego District Office. He is responsible for overseeing SBA's financial and educational development programs for San Diego and Imperial Counties. Last year the San Diego District Office ranked among the top medium offices nationwide. Over the past 30 years, he has held management positions with a number of firms, including ARCO, Texaco, Clark Equipment, Yale and Caterpillar Corporations.

• June 2009 - Aurelio Barreto - "Achieving the Things of This World Led Me to be Not of This World." Colossians 2:8 inspired Aurelio to open and name a chain of Christian clothing stores called, C28 ("See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of the world rather than on Christ"). Aurelio Aurelio shared his successes and failures in business and personal life - how God pursued him as a successful multi-millionaire and the various trials of his life - before and after his salvation. Aurelio founded and led Dogloo Inc. for 10 years. In 2001, he started C28 Christian Stores and Not of This World (NOTW) christian clothing line, which has expanded to 11 locations and an online e-commerce enterprise. To date, over 11,000 people have been saved through the ministry of C28.

• May 2009 - Paul Checklin - "Business and Travel in China as a Christian." Paul discussed how we as Christians and businessmen will increasingly be influenced by China in the coming years. He give us a general overview of his experiences of doing business in China and with Chinese Companies, as a Christian. Paul is currently the Senior Director of Global Sourcing for the WD-40 Company, headquartered in San Diego. Paul has more than 20 years of supply chain and new product introduction experience. Prior to coming to WD-40, Paul held positions in the procurement and materials fields for companies such as Qualcomm, Sony, and Hewlett-Packard. He has extensive experience in international sourcing, strategic purchasing, supply chain management, and contract negotiations. He travels all over the world and does presentations in a variety of different business venues. He is also on the San Diego World Trade Center Board.

• April 2009 - Andy Jedynak - "Business, Christian Leadership, and the Internet". Andy shared some important - and sometimes surprising - findings that will help us as Christians be more savvy about the Internet as we lead at home and in the church. Andy Jedynak has a breadth of experience in business, Christian leadership, and with the Internet. He has spent the past year as President and Chief Marketing Officer at KidZui, The Internet for Kids. Over the previous ten years, he built and ran WeatherBug, an online service used by more than ten million people every day, and more than thirty million each month. Andy spent the 1990's at NBC, producing and selling television, and later developing many Internet best practices.

• March 2009 - Fred Schnaubelt - The Current Political and Economic Landscape. Fred updated us on the current U.S. presidential administration's plans and vision - in the context of this challenging economy. He discussed the threats and opportunities we face politically and economically - here in San Diego and as Christian businessmen. He compared the history of the recession / depression of the 1920's and 1930's to the current recession - citing the problem similarities and the solution similarities. Fred is a regular on the speaker circuit, being on the Speakers Bureau for many topics and political issues. He served as a San Diego City Councilman from 1977 to 1981. He was invited to testify before the U.S. President's Commission on Housing and the U.S. House of Representatives Banking Committee. He is politically active, savvy in business, and knowledgeable about San Diego and San Diego County. He has been in the Real Estate industry for 32 years and is responsible for $157,000,000 in sales. He has published over 100 articles on real estate issues. He is also a frequent guest on local radio stations.

• February 2009 - Kenny Jones - Obedience in the Marketplace. The key scripture Kenny used was 1st Samuel 15:22: "Samuel replied: Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than the fat of rams." Kenny has extensive experience in the marketplace. He has risen to the role of leader with decades of experience in his field. He has successfully done business in several different sectors including life insurance, the securities industry, and 25 years in commercial real-estate. He retired from Coldwell Banker / Richard Ellis company in 1998 as manager of a large successful branch in La Jolla. For the last 10 years Kenny has been directly involved in commercial real estate and funding loans. Approximately 50% of his time is currently spent in two nonprofits areas: micro-credit and a private nonprofit middle school located in Southeast San Diego.

• November 2008 - Dr. Jim Turner - Responsible Leadership in Troubled Times. Dr. Turner used stories, humor, and real life examples to discuss how we can anticipate the challenges of tomorrow and preparing to lead stakeholders through troubled waters. He cited good leadership as a high calling. He talked about King David and Moses as biblical examples of how to lead and how they managed difficult people and crisis circumstances. Dr. Turner is a long time member of CEO and current Vice President of the group. As a sought after speaker and futurist, Dr. Turner is the author or editor of five books with two additional ones coming in 2009. One book is on Responsible Leadership in Troubled Times. Dr. Turner is a lecturer at a number of universities and is sought out by corporations to assist them in projecting future threats and responses.

• October 2008 - Pastor Chris Clark - The Gettysburg of the Culture War. Pastor Clark talked about Proposition 8 (the California Marriage Amendment) as it relates to businesses, non-profits, and Christians in general. Pastor Clark is helping spearhead "Yes" on Proposition 8 along with many leaders such as Pastor Miles McPherson (the Rock Church), Pastor Jim Garlow (Skyline Church), and others. He is working with hundreds of other pastors throughout California on this important issue. Pastor Clark has been in ministry for over 25 years and 11 years in Christian Education. He has been senior pastor at East Clairmont Church since 1998.

• September 2008 - Ken Willig - The Free Gift. Annual joint event with CEO and PWF (Professional Women's Fellowship). Ken recieved a standing ovation from all who attended. Ken spoke about his parallel lives before and after his salvation - his personal life and his business life. He shared several stories about how Christ taught him how these two parts of his life became healthy through Christ's power. Ken is the original founder of the Christian Executive Officers organization in the 1980's. He has founded and directed five companies and two banks. He has served on numerous Boards. He was Chairman of the Board of Pregnancy Resource Center, and served on the Boards of Heartbeat International and Life Center Northwest. Ken has also written a book about the free gift of Christ and his journey to find it: The Free Gift.

• August 2008 - Wayne Rice - Home Grown Faith. Wayne talked about how his father instilled the roots of faith in him a child, and how that now plays out in how he passes his faith onto his children and grandchildren. He talked about the power of mentoring, which dovetails well into what CEO is doing with the new mentoring program. Wayne is Co-founder of Youth Specialties, Director of HomeWord Parenting Seminars, author of more than 30 books on youth, youth ministry and parenting, and a Graduate of Bethel Theological Seminary.

• July 2008 - Dan May - The Lord helping business in troubled times. Dan talked about how God uses our "stories" to evangelize and bless others, especially during troubled times like today. He talked about part of his "story" during the 1970's and 1980's airline crisis when he was CFO and then CEO of Republic Airlines - how close to bankruptcy they were and how God orchestrated events when they applied biblical principles to the company. These principles included: 1) Pray about everything, 2) Don't worry about anything, and 3) Thank God for the answer - whatever it is. His focus was on integrity and fostering interpersonal relationships. As a result of all of this, eventually the company succeeded. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) that was CFO and then President/CEO/Chairman of Republic Airlines. Dan May also has a real passion for and has served on the master board of Young Life for over 20 years.

• June 2008 - Reverend Stan Beard - Lessons from the wedding at Cana. Stan discussed how Jesus uses daily and life events (like weddings) to speak to us in profound ways. As a father going through his daughter's wedding preparations right now, Stan had some humorous stories to tell. At Cana, Jesus "reluctantly" provided a miracle, respectfully admonished his mother, and directed others (the servants, host, and attendees) to implement and experience the miracle - with little involvement from Christ himself. The miracle and how Christ did the miracle showed Christ's concern for the mundane things in our lives (running out of wine), yet with some examination we can easily see the deeper spiritual implications he intended. Stan shared some surprising observations about patterns of elderly people to whom he ministers - there being a large number of church going people that do not know how Christ fits into their lives. This is a clear admonishment to today's church and it's leaders - to focus on teaching people about Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Stan is Pastor of Men and Senior Ministries at La Jolla Presbyterian Church. Stan has also served as President of the Southwest Leadership Foundation in Phoenix, which is a ministry to homeless, abandoned and oppressed people.

• May 2008 - Fred Schnaubelt - Two eminent domain propositions in San Diego -- one of hope, one of betrayal. The topic was based on Exodus 20:15 "Thou shall not steal". He addressed Propositions 98 and 99, which are on the next voting ballot in June. Fred is a regular on the speaker circuit, being on the Speakers Bureau for many topics and political issues. He has been in the Real Estate industry for 32 years and published over 100 articles on real estate issues. Fred served as a San Diego City Councilman from 1977 to 1981. He was invited to testify before the U.S. President's Commission on Housing and the U.S. House of Representatives Banking Committee. He is also a frequent guest on local radio stations. POST NOTE - Prop 98 did not pass, Prop 99 did pass.

• April 2008 - Gregg Hamann - Foundations for Integrating your Work and your Walk with God. Gregg shared inspiring principles from various scriptural passages (including 1 Peter 4:10) about what it takes to be a successful businessman and a citizen of the Kingdom of God. He talked about integrity in the workplace and how God blesses people of integrity, especially when it is extremely difficult. He showed in scripture and in real business life stories how God expects us to act and then fulfills His promises to us in powerful, practical ways. Gregg is a developer specializing in industrial and commercial buildings for the last thirty years. He has also served as a Lay Pastor and weekly Preacher at Covenant Presbyterian Church in North Park for the last fifteen years.

• March 2008 - Cory Trenda - Finding your sweet spot. Cory's vision is "to connect the 'rich' and the 'poor' in ways that build a better world and which enrich and change all of us." Cory talked about finding our God given motivators. He transparently shared some stories about several mistakes in his life and God's amazing grace in his life that led him into his current ministry. He and an associate spoke about a growing and vibrant ministry in poor areas such as Tijuana that are bringing microlending and micro economies to help motivated people. Ths ministry is helping individuals and families become independant and responsible business people in thier own neighborhoods in Mexico. Cory has worked for various non-profits including Opportunity International and most recently World Vision. At World Vision he represents the global aid agency in San Diego and Orange County and also serves as the Microenterprise Development specialist for WVUS' nation-wide fundraising and communications team.

• February 2008 - Dr. Jack Wheaton - Israel - God's Timepiece. Dr. Wheaton spoke about how tomorrow's newspaper headlines regarding the Middle East and eventually the fate of the entire world were written hundreds, sometimes thousands of years ago in the prophecies found in the Bible. Dr. Wheaton is a retired professor from USC. He is a well-known musician as well as a dedicated Bible Teacher and Scholar.

• January 2008 - Brian Jones - Christian leaders are to be the Light of the World and the Salt of the Earth. Brian spoke from Matthew 5:13-16 about "making the world different, not just making a difference in the world" - there is a distinct difference in the two. He emphasized being salt and light - how the characteristics of each (salt and light) are powerful in changing the world. Three things he said are crucial to making a difference - attitude, conduct, and encouragement (edification). Brian is currently running for Duncan Hunter's Congressional seat, since Mr. Hunter is retiring. Elected to the Santee City Council in 2002 and 2006, Brian also serves on several city and regional committees, task forces, and boards. Brian has been a businessman, is a dedicated father and husband, and is an active member in his church (Sonrise) and community.

• December 2007 - Bob McClellan - The Foundation of American Government - America's True Christian History. Bob spoke about the history of our country from the perspective of how essential Christianity was in founding our country. He spoke about the roots of our political heritage being founded in the Bible. Bob is a CEO member and a retired businessman (formerly owned McClellan Buick) who devotes much of his time/energy to educating people about the Christian heritage of our nation and the christianity of America's founding fathers.

• November 2007 - Pastor Terrell Fletcher - Celebrating the Mentors That Help Make People Great. Pastor Fletcher encouraged mentorship by indicating that a successful person usually has a good mentor somewhere in thier background. He talked about how a mentor provides order, discipline, and tutoring /teaching that is inspirational and makes a protege hungry for more. Pastor Fletcher talked about two powerful mentors in his life - his father and Ronnie Lott from the San Diego Chargers. As a mentor, his father was Christ-like in his life - loving, dedicated, structured, organized, intelligent, and disciplinary. He spoke about Ronnie Lott who inspired humility and passion for learning in him. Pastor Fletcher is Senior Pastor/founder of the City of Hope International - a thriving multi-cultural and interdenominational ministry based in San Diego. Pastor Fletcher played for 8 years for the San Diego Chargers where he was selected as a second round choice in the NFL draft.

• October 2007 - Reverend Chuck Workman - Capturing a Heart: 10 principles for mentoring. Reverend Workman shared principles he uses with mentoring juveniles, that apply to other mentoring environments, including business. Reverend Workman is an ordained Baptist minister with a Doctorate and Masters degree in theology and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He presently works for WIXIM Ministries in which capacity he serves as the Chaplain Coordinator for the San Diego County Probation Department.

• September 2007 - Annual joint event with CEO and PWF (Professional Women's Fellowship). Dr. Jackie Freiberg - 7 Choices For Blowing the Doors Off Business-As-Usual. Jackie spoke about her 20 year mission to expose the unconventional success strategies in the most admired companies in the world - in businesses that are BOOMING. Her presentation was the result of studying many of the most innovative businesses, gutsy leaders, and liberated employees around. Jackie shared about her new book "BOOM", in which she has distilled this collective wisdom into 7 essential choices that cause culture, service, success, and business to BOOM! She challenged the group via entertaining video clips, witty stories, real life scenarios to become revolutionary business people. Jackie recieved a standing ovation.

• August 2007 - Dr. James T. Turner - Leadership for Believers in a Multicultural World. Dr. Turner provided a free book to all attendees titled "Conversations on Leadership" that includes discussions with 18 well known leaders. He also provided a free pamphlet "Christian Rights in the Workplace" about Religious Activities by Employers under Title VII. He discussed the needs of leaders who find expression for their faith in a world that is often hostile to Christian values. He discussed methods to "attract" or "draw" others to faith in the business arena, versus forcing faith on others. Some methods include - thinking about your life as a billboard saying "Jesus is Here", mentoring others in how to apply biblical principles in their business lives, and knowing the legalities of being a Christian in business. Dr. Turner is President of International Assessment Services, Inc. Dr. Turner has appeared on television and radio shows such as ABC's "Nightline", PBS' "Market Watch", CBS' "Things Considered", and over 150 radio programs.

• July 2007 - Mike Carlisle - The Vision for San Diego. Mike talked about a new vision for San Diego, which is "Vision San Diego". It is about city transformation; seeing the city, serving its needs, and believing in God's power and desire to transform it. More accurately, Vision San Diego is about seeing cities transformed. Vision San Diego wants to come alongside churches in each of these communities, united in a vision for the Greater San Diego area. Mike is Executive Director/City Coordinator of Vision San Diego.

• June 2007 - John De Puy - Power Marketing! John presented a polished power point slideshow with a color handout for notes and future reference. He spoke about how to successfully brand and market - how to create the brand, market it, guard it, and and develop ongoing brand loyalty. John is President and CEO of Oaktree Ventures, Inc., Chairman of the Advisory Council Capital Formation, and CEO Coach. John's business background includes more than 25 years as an entrepreneur, CEO, investment banker, management consultant and civic leader. He has been instrumental in advising more than 600 software CEO's on their capital requirements in raising both debt and equity capital.

• May 2007 - Jon Sundt - What does it mean to be a Christian Business Leader? Jon is President and Chief Executive Officer Of Altegris Investments, Inc. Jon has been in the alternative investments industry for over 18 years. Jon shared his testimony of how God has used both tragic and joyful circumstances to prepare him for his life in business and as a spiritual leader. Jon challenged us as business leaders on what God's calling is in our lives.

• April 2007 - Captain Rob Crossan - The Military Chaplain and the Community. Captain Crossan is the Marine Base Chaplain at Camp Pendleton, overseeing ministry by 8 chaplains and over 45,000 personnel. Chaplain Crossan shared some powerful stories and talked about how Chaplains play a vital role in helping their fellow military personnel negotiate the crucial moments in their lives. This presentation was particularly poignant due to the critical role spirituality currently has in the lives of our wartime military, their families, and our communities.

• March 2007 - Jeremy Robinson - Look to the Lord for direction & Give Him ALL the Glory. Jeremy is a Christian Life Coach that facilitates the healing of the soul's wounds and the realization of the heart's dreams. He spoke about how to wisely discern our hearts requests such as in Matthew 14:28: "Lord, if it's you, tell me to come to you on the water." Jeremy shared some discernment stories in his experiences being a pastor, in his studies at Westminster and Fuller Seminaries, and several counseling environments.

• February 2007 - Mike Adams - Strategic Business Planning and Taking Your Company to the Next Level. Mike is the founder of Emerald Business Services, a firm offering developmental business services. Mike talked about how most small businesses can be grouped into three categories, 1) technicians who are usually all about doing things right, 2) entrepreneurs who are all about doing the right things, and 3) CEO's who are all about building long term growth. These categories of small business owners are often responsible for the levels or stages of a businesses growth. Mike shared practical guidelines a business owner can use to " the right things" through Strategic Business Planning. Scripture he cited as key business principles include: Ephesians 1:1-14.

• January 2007 - Mike Mudgett - With God, It Is Never Too Late. Mike Mudgett is a lawyer turned pastor. Mike talked about God's call on him to suddenly change careers in his 50's and go into ministry. He shared some humorous and poignant stories about his adventures with adjustments of ministry as compared to the business world. His perspective is it is never too late to change, with God's power and guidance ("old dogs can learn new tricks"). He referred to some of his heroes in the bible that had signficant ministry and direction from God in the middle and late in their lives: Moses, Abraham, Jeremiah, and Nehemiah. Mike's final encouragements were 1) rachet your walk with the Lord up a notch, 2) be adventurous in the Lord, and 3) be willing to risk yourself for the glory of God!

• December 2006 - Mike Mellace - Being a Bold Witness in the Business Marketplace. Mr. Mellace spoke about how to be an effective and bold witness for Christ in today's businesss market, with no compromises of your personal faith, in a world that focuses on being "polically correct". He shared his powerful testimony how God called him to be a Christian business man (his ministry) in the business market place; how he prays with and for non-christian customers and colleagues; how having an on-site chapel and prayer services at the headquarters has changed lives; and how God has expanded his operations internationally to minister in markets in other countries. Mr. Mellace is CEO of Mama Mellace's - a multi-million dollar national snack food company with large clients such as Costco, and provides distribution in the U.S. coast to coast. Scriptures he cited as key business principles include: Mathew 19:16-30, 1 Corinthians 2:1-5, 1 Peter 4:10-11, Jeremiah 29:1-14.

• November 2006 - Damian McKinney - Apparitions - A discussion within Christianity. Mr. McKinney presented a very interesting and controversial subject - his recent visit to a small village in Bosnia-Hercegovina where there have been sightings of the Virgin Mary in apparitional form. He discussed these types of sightings as a major issue in the Christian world. Mr. McKinney has 25 years of experience in national commercial real estate investment and brokerage and is the founder and President of eRealty Fund, LLC. He has represented firms such as Alberto Culver, Molina Healthcare, Hughes, Ford, USFreightways, Emery Airfreight, TRW, Northrop, BAX, Bell and Howell, and Bekins.

• October 2006 - Troy A. Lyndon - God's Guidance in Business. Troy has served many ministries and Christian publishers, including Left Behind Games Inc., the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Campus Crusade for Christ, Tyndale and Biblesoft, and EA Sports (Madden Football). He spoke about how keeping Christ as top priority, above business needs, kept him in God's blessing zone. He learned some difficult lessons about applying God's business principles, but in the end found Gods principles always lead to success.

• September 2006 - Christopher and Jane Crane - annual joint event with CEO and PWF (Professional Women's Fellowship).A Challenge from Two Type A Personalities Impacting our World for Christ! The Cranes shared how God has led them through the years, opened doors they never imagined, and sustained them through the tough times. Christopher has been President and CEO of Opportunity International, the world's largest Christian microfinance organization, since 2002. Jane was an invited delegate to the 2004 Lausanne Forum for World Evangelization in Thailand, developing the "Map for Gender Reconciliation" and other consensus materials that have been published and used globally. She serves on the Board of Directors for Youth With A Mission San Diego/Baja, Mexico and for six years has taught on gender issues in ministry at the YWAM Discipleship Training School in Ensenada, Mexico.

• August 2006 - Dr. Michael W. "Mick" Hager - The Dead Sea Scrolls are coming to San Diego. Dr. Hager is the Executive Director of the San Diego Natural History Museum. He spoke about the Dead Sea Scrolls coming to San Diego in July of 2007. Dr. Hager used a powerpoint presentation to show the history and importance of the Dead Sea Scrolls - they are widely acknowledged to be among the world's greatest archaeological treasures and considered a nexus of the formative years of Judaism and Christianity. The Museum states they will present the scrolls purely as historical documents - for spiritual commentaries the Museum will provide tools such as private speaker headsets for speakers (i.e. pastors, etc.) to present their personal perspectives to private groups. This is a rare opportunity to see these treasures in person.

• July 2006 - Dr. Ruben Garcia - Legacies of faith, family, and business. Dr. Garcia is District Director of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), San Diego District Office. Dr. Garcia spoke about 3 legacies - our country, his father, and the San Diego business community. He spoke about how faith in Christ has been profound in the historical legacy of the United States. He also shared some personal stories about his father - one was an inspiring reminder about the true definition of "success". Dr. Garcia then shared about how SBA is helping with the legacy of business here in San Diego, and can assist with faith-based initiatives in creative ways.

• June 2006 - Doug Kay - Ministry through Loved Ones. Doug is President of Providence Equity Fund, Inc. and founded Blue Sky Marketing Int'l, Inc. Doug spoke of his late son and a ministry fund (The Jesse Kay Foundation) he created in his son's name to help the poor with medical, educational and spiritual support. Doug spoke about the experiences surrounding his son and messages God has through his powerful story.

• May 2006 - Dr. Bruce Schooling - Christian Perspectives on Ethical Business. Dr. Schooling is Dean of the Fermanian School of Business and Professor of Management at Point Loma Nazarene University. He talked about educating business leaders for more than the bottom line - that conducting business ethically has imminent, short term, long term, and eternal ramifications.

• April 2006 - Dr. Bill McColl - The Ethical Will. Dr. McColl was an NFL pro with the Chicago Bears and currently a missionary orthopedic surgeon to Korea. He talked about the "Ethical Will", which is an ethical testimony and directive to loved ones, similar to a regular will, but spiritual or moral in nature. • March 2006 - Dr. Jim Garlow - Cracking The Da Vinci Code. Dr. Garlow is pastor of Skyline Church and an accomplished author. He spoke about the DaVinci Code phenomenon including the book and upcoming movie. He spoke about how we can understand the truths about the DaVinci Code and use this an opportunity to share the gospel.

• February 2006 - Dr. John Morris - Creation, Evolution, & Current Issues. Dr. Morris is President of The Institute for Creation Research (ICR) and is perhaps best known for leading expeditions to Mt. Ararat in search of Noah's Ark. He talked about scientific support for the Bible, creationism, and related current issues.

• January 2006 - Senator Bill Morrow - Sacramento's Impact on the Local Community. Senator Morrow represents the 38th District. He spoke about how his faith informs his actions as a legislative representative of the people. He also shared about various issues including individual freedom, equal rights and opportunities for all, free enterprise, and limited government.

• December 2005 - Bob Goff - Using Business Enterprise and Skills for Ministry. Bob is a highly successful San Diego lawyer having led major legal firms here and in Seattle. Bob spoke about how God called him to use his business skills for ministry purposes. He has created several successful businesses and used them as ministry leverage. Through very engaging stories he told about how he and others risked their lives going into areas to rescue and redeem young girls sold into prostitution in India. He also shared how he is helping change the economic culture in India by initiating new companies and economic structures.

• November 2005 - Dr. John Steel - The Truth About Islam. Dr. Steel spoke about his mission to inform citizens of the inherent dangers of radical and basic Islam. Dr. Steel shared his studies, having read the Koran 4 times over the past 6 years, as well as 28 books on the mid-east, the history of Islam, and the prior 2 great jihads on behalf of Islam.

• October 2005 - Dr. James Dyke - The 11 Things I Hate About You - The Worst Management Sins And What To Do About Them. Dr. Dyke holds certificates in training and DISC assessments, and is a graduate of the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership, and the Executive Leadership Program of the Christian Management Association. Dr. Dyke shared key insights where bad managers go wrong, but good leaders can make it right. Dr. Dyke provided us practical help for struggling managers and the people they manage.

• September 2005 - George and Becky Dunlop - CEO and PWF annual combined event - Making a difference by serving God in our city, state and nation. The Dunlops spoke about the motivations that should stir our hearts to be active and effective methods to bring the gospel to the marketplace and government. George is the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Civil Works and also serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Policy and Legislation at The Pentagon. Becky provides leadership on national and international levels at The Heritage Foundation; she was a member of the Advisory Committee to the Director of the National Center for Environmental Health; she was appointed by President Bush to serve as Chair of the Federal Service Impasses Panel; and she served as the U.S. Senate Majority leader on the Commission on Women.

• August 2005 - Frank Kacer - Active Christian involvement in the issues of our world. Frank is President and Founder of The Christian Citizens Council of San Diego. Frank discussed the Biblical basis for active Christian involvement in the political, cultural and societal issues of our day; why we as a community have become ineffective; and what practical steps we and our churches can take to recapture our leadership role in a legal and Christ-like manner.

• July 2005 - Frank Kacer - Mayoral Candidates for San Diego. Frank is President and Founder of The Christian Citizens Council of San Diego. In this special forum, Frank mediated several Mayoral candidates presenting their vision for San Diego. Frank also presented inspiration for Christians to be involved in the political process.

• June 2005 - Tom Doyle - New Ministry Opportunities in the Middle East. Tom is Director of International Ministries and Middle East Specialist for EvangeCube Global Ministries in Dallas, Texas. Tom shared exciting stories about how God is using the violent events of terrorism and war to open doors in places that seemed hopeless just a few years ago, in places like Lebanon, Palestine, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria.

• May 2005 - Chris Crane - Business Principles in Ministry. Chris is President / CEO of Opportunity International. Chris has written a book for Executives and is experienced in successful application of business principles in the workplace. He spoke to us about applying business principles to Christian ministries.

• April 2005 - Dan Hitzhusen - The Power of God. Dan is President of Global Missions Fellowship. He spoke about being called to serve in an outreach or service mission in another country and what astounding miracles God produces when His people step out in faith. He shared some miraculous stories of salvation, healing and spiritual growth.

• March 2005 - Mark Larson - How to be Happy... In Spite of Yourself. Mark is is best known as a long time San Diego talk radio show host. He is currently on NewsRadio 600 KOGO, weekdays from Noon to 3PM (right after Rush Limbaugh). He has also been the leading guest-host on Dennis Prager, Michael Medved and Hugh Hewitt's network radio programs. Mark spoke to CEO about how we are all our own worst enemy. He expounded on the timeless biblical principles that can protect us from those self inflicted wounds that cause unhappiness.

• February 2005 - Larry Stirling - The U.S. Penal System - the dangerous and the redeemable. Larry is a past president of CEO, a Retired Superior Court Judge, a former San Diego City Councilman, a former State Assemblyman, and he has chaired and led multiple committees and task forces on public safety and the judicial system. He spoke to CEO about biblical principles related to knowing the truth about the effectiveness (or ineffectiveness) of our current penal systems. As Christians, Larry discussed how we need to know how God would have us deal with the criminals in our society. We need His wisdom to justly "restrain the dangerous, redeem the redeemable, and know how to tell the difference".

• January 2005 - Kent Tuley - Physical and Mental Integrity. Kent is a Program Director at SAIC (a Fortune 500 company) and President of Tuley Enterprises. His ministry is to business men about this difficult and often neglected issue. Kent presented several powerful stories about men who became involved in adultery or pornography - and were redeemed. He also shared poignant vignettes about what God expects of us in our thought life and our conduct with women associates and colleagues. Kent gave valuable cautions and suggestions about how we can wisely select our reading material and entertainment, so our integrity in business and with our families is at its highest.

• November 2004 - Aurelio F. Barreto III - A Personal Testimony. Aurelio is Founder & CEO of C28, a chain of Christian stores in malls across Southern California, winner of Entrepreneur of the year awards, and member of several corporate boards. Aurelio spoke about the transformation of his business life and his spiritual life.

• October 2004 - Dr. Gary Demarest - Leadership in a World of Cultural Controversy. Dr. Demarest spoke about various controversial issues in our culture and the church today. He and others are dealing with these issues as part of the Presbyterian General Assembly Task Force - including the issue of Gay and Lesbian ordination.

• September 2004 - Dr. Dennis Waitley - CEO and PWF annual combined event - "A Guide to Survival, Success and Serenity in this Savage Paradise called Life." Dr. Waitley is one of America's most respected authors, keynote lecturers and productivity consultants on high performance human achievement.

• August 2004 - Merrilee Boyack - Legal attack on the Boy Scouts of America. Merrilee who is an attorney, professional lecturer, and a published writer, presented the current status of the Boy Scouts precedent setting legal defense against harassment and discrimination in San Diego.

• July 2004 - John Townsend - How to conduct a "Church@Work" ministry! John is from Matthew 25:34-40 Ministries. He spoke about how to conduct "Church@Work"- a program where church is practiced in the workplace everyday.

• June 2004 - John Leach - The Midway Aircraft Carrier is open! John is one of our CEO members and a member of the Board of Directors of the San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum Midway. John talked about the benefits and opportunities the Midway brings to the kingdom of God, our country, and our city.

• February 2004 - Pastor Richard H. Halvorson - Ethics and Morality in Business and Politics. Pastor Halvorson serves on government advisory boards and commissions and has been involved with the space program.
